PHILADELPHIA-Board members of the Pennsylvania Convention Center could decide this week if a change in management is necessary.
The board is scheduled to vote on Wednesday on the management issue. Two of the three bidders for the management contract, SMG of Conshohocken and Comcast-owned Global Spectrum, are considered favorites, according to the Associated Press.
For the past 20 years, paid staff, overseen by the convention center's board of directors, has managed the convention center. See story at phillyburbs.com.
