NEW YORK CITY-Facebook has signed a lease for 100,000 square feet of office space at 770 Broadway with building owner Vornado Realty Trust and will be joining other media concerns such as AOL and the Huffington Post at the 15-story property.

The 10-year lease will allow Facebook to expand to as much as 160,000 square feet in two years, according to Crain's New York Business. The company will occupy part of the seventh and the entire eighth floor of the building that was formerly occupied by Nielsen, which relocated to lower Manhattan. Facebook also leases approximately 150,000 square feet at 335 Madison Ave.

Paul Ippolito, a broker at Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, represented Facebook in the lease transaction. An in-house team led by leasing executive Glen Weiss represented Vornado. See story in Crain's New York Business.
