BETHESDA, MD-Beneath its corporate headquarters here, Marriott Hotels has opened a 10,000-square-foot Innovation Lab.

The hotelier opened the lab called “The Underground” because its located two floors below its headquarters at 10400 Fernwood Road on Friday. Marriott says it will invite customers to the lab through Internet-enabled cameras that will facilitate feedback, according to Bethesdanow.com.

Visitors can test guestrooms, lobbies, meeting spaces and food menus. A “war room” offers meeting space so people can vote on what they dislike or like about potential new looks.

“Marriott is dedicated to transforming the brand to make it relevant for a next generation of travelers–and we want these travelers to be a part of our transformative journey,” Marriott Senior Vice President of Architecture & Construction Karim Khalifa states in a press release.
