NEW YORK CITY-A host of developers have submitted plans for a number of key development sites outlying Brooklyn Bridge Park here.

A total of 10 development teams of top retailers and builders have submitted plans to redevelop the Empire Stores warehouses into retail and office space. Four blocks east, past the Manhattan Bridge, 11 developers are looking to win the right to build a luxury residential tower on a vacant lot. The tower could feature as many as 130 units. The winning bidders for those projects could be announced by Labor Day, according to Crain's New York Business.

The largest development potential will come from property being marketed by the Jehovah's Witnesses. Among them are the 400,000-square-foot 55 Furman St., and a cluster of warehouses along Pearl Street covering more than 700,000 square feet that has reportedly sparked interest from the Related Cos.
