BALTIMORE-Expedient, a local provider of data center colocation and managed hosting services is expanding its footprint in the Baltimore area via a lease inked at 111155 Red Run Blvd., in Owings Mills, MD. The company is taking 21,236-square feet in a four-story 120,327-square foot building, which Legg Mason had vacated earlier this year.

There is still 99,091 square feet remaining, for either a single user or it can be subdivided. Cassidy Turley's Suburban North Team represented the landlord, Dell Corp. Expedient Data Centers was represented by Luke Allen, Vice President at Cassidy Turley.

The building served as a private-use private-use data center for Legg Mason. Expedient plans to invest $10 million in upgrading its space.

The addition of the Owings Mills facility follows last year's major expansion at Expedient's TidePoint Data Center, located on Under Armour's Baltimore City campus. The new data center space in Owings Mills will effectively double the footprint for Expedient in the Baltimore market and at the same time and brings Expedient's data center production capacity to a total of 220,000 square feet.
