ATLANTA-Beverage giant Coca-Cola plans to establish its Information Technology Center of Excellence in downtown Atlanta at Sun Trust Plaza's Garden Offices.
Coca-Cola has entered into a 275,868-square-foot, 10-year lease in the Garden Offices. With the move, the company will employ more than 6,500 people downtown, between its North Avenue headquarters and the new IT center, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
The IT center, to be completed by the middle of 2014 “will bring together nearly 2,000 of our Atlanta-based information technology associates and contractors in one central location to further improve the efficiency of our operations,” Coca-Cola spokesman Kent Landers stated in an e-mail.
