PHILADELPHIA-The Center City building commonly known locally as the “Kling Building” has been put on the market for sale.
The property consists of two structures—the four-story 2301 Chestnut St., which totals 129,752 square feet and the adjoining 2300 Ionic St., which is a two-story, 12,011-square-foot building. The complex is home to architectural firm KlingStubbins, which has a long-term lease for the entire complex for its headquarters, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Jim Vesey, a Jones Lang LaSalle investment broker, is marketing the property for sale, along with Doug Rodio and Jim Galbally. “It's a different animal because you have a really good lease but the location will allow a buyer to do something bigger and better at the end of the term,” Vesey says.
The Kling building complex was constructed in 1925 and renovated in the early 1980s. See story in the Philadelphia Business Journal.
