MINNEAPOLIS-The $400-million mixed-use redevelopment plan by locally-based Ryan Cos. was overwhelmingly endorsed by the Stadium Implementation Committee on Thursday.
The plan would cover five city blocks currently owned by the Star Tribune located adjacent to the proposed Vikings stadium. The proposal calls for two office towers, approximately 350 housing units, street level retail, skyways that would connect downtown streets to the stadium and a public park, according to the Star Tribune.
Wells-Fargo & Co. is reportedly interested in occupying the office towers,. Ryan Vice President of Development Rick Collins told the newspaper that there is no formal agreement at the moment between the developer and Wells Fargo. See story in the Star Tribune.
