TAMPA, FL-The Port of Tampa generates a little more than $15 billion in economic activity each year, according to a report released today.
Preliminary details of a study, conducted by marine consulting firm Martin Associates, of the Port of Tampa were released earlier today. The port boasts 80,216 direct and indirect jobs that generate $4.2 billion in wages, according to the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
According to the study, cargo activity at the Port of Tampa created 73,478 jobs and a $14.4-billion economic impact. See story in the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
