MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA-Sares-Regis Group of Northern California is proposing a 52-unit residential community for the 1100 block of West El Camino Real in Mountain View. The proposal includes a collection of sustainable, elevator-served residences within walking distance to vibrant downtown Mountain View.
“The project would transform this underutilized site, allowing residents to walk to transit, employment, retail, restaurants and services in downtown Mountain View and along the El Camino Real corridor,” said Todd Regonini, chief development officer at Sares Regis Group of Northern California. “In addition to respecting the evolving vision for El Camino Real outlined in the Grand Boulevard Initiative, the new residences would be located across the street from McKelvey Park, and within walking distance of Eagle Park.”
The quiet, sophisticated design reflects the work of California architect Irving Gill. Elegant windows and French doors, metal hand and balcony rails , and masonry accents will all contribute to an overall impression of elegance.
The proposed community design also includes shared communal spaces for residents and their guests, including a richly landscaped courtyard, outdoor entertainment and gathering spaces, and a luxurious spa. Also slated for the common areas are bicycle storage facilities, significant tree plantings along the site perimeter, and landscape features that also provide storm water treatment.
