PHILADELPHIA-Three hotels totaling 564 rooms near Philadelphia International Airport have been put on the market for sale by Stamford, CT-based Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc.

The properties for sale are the 251-room Sheraton Suites Philadelphia Airport Hotel, the 177-room Four Points by Sheraton Philadelphia Airport, and the Aloft Philadelphia Airport with 136 rooms, according to the Inquirer.

Simon Turner, president of global development for Starwood, says, "Starwood continues its systematic pursuit of an asset-light strategy by selling hotels to owners who share our vision for each property. We are fortunate to have a quality portfolio of owned assets in a number of high-barrier-to-entry markets."

The hotel complex joins the Philadelphia Downtown Marriott as significant city properties currently on the market for sale. See story in the Inquirer.
