ST. LOUIS—Berkeley Point Capital LLC recently announced that they have continued expanding its origination team by hiring Karen L. Lanzarini as their new director of loan originations. Lanzarini will work out of the Maryland-based firm's St. Louis office and try to expand a $28 billion portfolio that includes more than 2,100 loans.
“Karen is a proven leader in multifamily originations,” says Steve Wendel, the executive managing director of Berkeley, which now has over 200 employees in 11 offices. “Karen's extensive multifamily and healthcare lending experience will be yet another strong addition to our growing originations platform.”
Prior to joining the firm, Lanzarini worked in the commercial lending industry from 2001 through 2011. Most recently she was a vice president for originations at Berkadia Commercial Mortgage. She also developed expertise in FHA multifamily and healthcare loan originations. She also had two marketing jobs at GMAC, including stints as marketing director and national account manager, where she developed client relationships and helped expand the company's product lines. In addition, she was a vice president at Patriot Mortgage Company, a national lender in wholesale/correspondent programs.
