BALTIMORE-CBRE has added Ryan Casey Larkin to its Baltimore office as senior project manager on the company's Mid-Atlantic Project Management team. Larkin will partner with CBRE's Brokerage and Asset Services groups.

His addition is being made with an eye to growth in the Baltimore market, CBRE Managing Director Jerry Reich, who oversees the Mid-Atlantic Project Management team, tells GlobeSt.com. "Baltimore is becoming an exciting story from a project management perspective. One thing I wanted to do to prepare for this anticipated growth is add to our team." Larkin is the first hire and Reich says there may be more. The firm will be deciding that in the coming months.

In particular, CBRE has its eye on Baltimore's resurgent health care market. "We are seeing companies make significant investments in ambulatory facilities, for example. As the new healthcare laws come into effect, ambulatory facilities will be much more attractive option for clients and patients."

Reich estimates CBRE's Mid-Atlantic project management team has about approximately 250,000 square feet of project opportunities related to health care in its pipeline over the next six months. "Some will be additions, some will be out of the ground, brand-new projects."
