SAN FRANCISCO-Residents began to occupy Avant Housing's Vara apartment complex Friday just hours after it was sold to Dallas-based Behringer Harvard. With the acquisition of 1880 Mission St., a 194-unit apartment developed over the last two years, Behringer Harvard has its first Mission District property, says the San Francisco Business Times. The price was not disclosed.

Avant, a partnership between TMG Partners and AGI Capital Partners, has now sold its first three developments with a combined value of more $400 million, the website says.
