CHARLOTTE—Stiles is making good on its expansion plans in Charlotte. The Fort Lauderdale, FL-based commercial real estate firm has entered into a lease agreement with Publix Supermarkets to build a third shopping center in Charlotte.
Dubbed Mint Hill Commons, the Publix shopping center will be located at the intersection of Highway 51 and Brighton Park Drive in the Town of Mint Hill. The shopping center will include a 49,000-square-foot Publix Super Market and about 17,000 square feet of inline shops and restaurants.
The shopping center will also be home to one outparcel and a drive-through Publix pharmacy. The planned phase two will see the development of single-family homes. Stiles expects to break ground the first quarter of 2014.
Stiles' first project in North Carolina, Ballantyne Commons, is in partnership with Harris Land Company and Levine Properties. That project is under construction with plans to deliver in early 2014. Stiles' second project, Shops at Southline, will break ground late this summer and be completed in late 2014.
