DALLAS-Micheal Dee has joined the Henry S. Miller Companies as president to the Commercial Retail Division.

Greg Miller, president and CEO of the firm, and Sam Kartalis, president and COO announced the appointment this week.

“Michael should be a great addition to our company,”said Kartalis. “His past experiences both as a broker and as a director of real estate for various national retail tenants will aide to his success, especially in this position. The Miller Companies has always been known for its retail prowess in the market and with Michael's direction we expect to maintain that reputation.”

Having been in the commercial retail real estate business for over 25 years, Dee has extensive experience in both retail brokerage and business development. Prior to joining Miller, he served as the senior real estate representative at 7-Eleven responsible for new store site selection, development and lease/contract negotiations.

While at 7-Eleven, Dee opened 16 new stores in the Dallas-Fort Worth Area. He has worked in new store development, with 7-Eleven, AutoZone Corporation, Blockbuster, Inc., Starbucks Coffee Company, and Payless ShoeSource. Dee also has a history in brokerage, most notably as the national director of Retail at Grubb & Ellis Company. At Miller, he plans to double the number of retail brokers, increase 3rd party leasing and management assignments and property management assignments, and enhance the quality and number of tenant representative assignments with regional and national ties.
