SILICON VALLEY, CA-SoCal's Irvine Company has started work on three projects that will eventually add roughly 2,000 new apartments to the South Bay area. The development was noted recently in the Silicon Valley Business Journal.
The Newport Beach-based company has begun development on a series of land acquisitions it made in recent years. Those initiatives include two new complexes in San Jose and one in Sunnyvale.
Irvine's largest project, Brandon Park, is on the 33-acre former headquarters of Wyse Technologies Inc. in San Jose. When completed in late 2016, the project will include more than 1,300 units.
Also in North San Jose, Irvine recently began work on River Oaks, located near Crescent Village. In Sunnyvale, Irvine Company is working on Stewart Village, which will add 259 units when complete on about 8.6 acres at 955 Stewart Drive.
