CHICAGO—The nation's largest owner and manager of medical officebuildings just got even bigger. Chicago-based LillibridgeHealthcare Services, Inc., a wholly ownedsubsidiary of Ventas, Inc., hasacquired a 409,000-square-foot healthcare real estate portfoliolocated on the campuses of five Advocate HealthCare hospitals in the Chicago area.

Seven buildings are included in the transaction, more thandoubling the amount of Advocate-affiliated medical office spaceowned and managed by Lillibridge to 790,000-square-feet. They nowhave 19 buildings on six Advocate campuses, as well as severalaffiliated sites.

The properties are on the campuses of: Advocate GoodSamaritan Hospital, Downers Grove; Advocate GoodShepherd Hospital, Barrington; Advocate ChristMedical Center, Oak Lawn; Advocate South SuburbanHospital, Hazel Crest; and Advocate TrinityHospital, Chicago.
