FAIRFAX, VA-A Walmart Supercenter and a 24 hour Fitness are among the tenants opening their doors at Tysons West. KLNB Retail secured the tenants for the new transit-oriented development, which is located at 1500 Cornerside Blvd. in Leesburg, for a grand total of close to 130,000 square feet.
KLNB Retail's John Meyer and Brian Finkelstein represented Walmart and 24 Hour Fitness and KLNB's Andrew Feldman and Ryan Wilner represented a third tenant, Noodles & Co. Walmart opened for business this week, 24 Hour Fitness is planning to open on September 7 and Noodles & Co. intends to open in mid-September. Developed by The JBG Cos., Tysons West will consist of more than 400,000 square feet of office, more than 250,000 square feet of retail, a residential component of approximately 700 residential units and a 350,000 square foot full-service hotel. The project is next to the Spring Hill Station of the Washington Metro system, which will open this year.
These leases represent more than 50% of the total retail space build-out projected for Tysons West and nearly 100% of the Phase I, according to a prepared statement by Meyer.
"Walmart, in particular, was attracted to the transit-oriented concept offered at Tysons West, which provide tremendous convenience and access to the greater Washington, D.C. region with its highly-mature rail network."
