MIAMI—Global law firm Jones Day has entered the Florida market with a new full-floor office lease spanning 21,363 square feet at 600 Brickell. That marks more positive office space absorption for the Miami market.

Jones is a global law firm with more than 2,400 lawyers and 40 offices around the world. The firm's first Florida office will help its attorneys better serve clients in transactional and litigation matters throughout the state, as well as clients doing business with Latin America.

"Miami continues to evolve as a key business nerve center for Latin America, and our presence here will not only help expand our capabilities in serving clients in that region but also to meet the needs of the numerous companies we serve in Florida,” says Pedro Jimenez, partner-in-charge of Jones' Miami office. “Our space at Brickell World Plaza is a reflection of our commitment to this market and to providing exceptional service to our clients from here.”

Jones Lang LaSalle executive vice president Glenn H. Gregory and senior vice president Noël Steinfeld completed the lease transaction on behalf of the tower's developer, Foram Group. This is the sixth office transaction the team has completes at 600 Brickell this year. CBRE's Carter Hopkins represented Jones. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The newly-built tower is one of only a few office buildings in the world and the only one in South Florida to earn LEED Platinum certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. Located in the heart of Brickell, the building has emerged as a central meeting point in Miami's urban core, with a 30,000-square-foot landscaped plaza. On-site amenities include a private fitness center, conference center and teleconference facilities, and a valet dry cleaner service.
