ROME-Dentons has advised an AIG/Lincoln subsidiary on the sale of a retail property, Da Vinci Market Central in Rome to funds managed by CWM Group.

The Dentons team advising AIG/Lincoln was led by Stewart Middleman, head of cross-border transactions for Dentons' European Real Estate Group. He was supported by a team of Dentons cross-border property lawyers and worked with Domenico Tulli and his team at the law firm of Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners, a leading Italian law firm, in advising AIG/Lincoln.

"We are pleased to again support our long term client, AIG/Lincoln," Middleman said.

Located in the Rome airport area, Da Vinci is the largest retail park in Italy with over 600,000 square feet (56,000 m²) of lettable area and in excess of 10 million visitors per year. The transaction has a value of approximately $174 million (€130M). Evan Lazar, co-chairman of Dentons Europe's Real Estate group noted: “Despite the fact that Dentons is not present in Italy, AIG/ Lincoln came to us for our solution-oriented cross-border approach to successfully closing transactions.''
