HOUSTON-GlobalTech Motor & Controls Inc. took down 67,500 square feet in the region's northeast inner loop industrial submarket. The Pasadena, TX-based company is a full-service electric motor and generator manufacturing and repair facility providing services to the energy sector.
The local landlord, operating under the entity name 525 McCarty LLC, acquired the facility (an adjacent covered space), in April 2013 from Elbi of America Inc. The asset at 525 McCarty was built in 1972.
Clay Pritchett of NAI Houston and Clay Peeples of Boyd Commercial jointly represented the landlord in the direct lease transaction with the tenant. Financial considerations were not disclosed, though the monthly quoted ask is $0.53 per square foot.
