NEW YORK CITY-Youngwoo & Associates has announced that the Pier 57 development at West 15th Street in Hudson River Park will now be known as SuperPier and, in its new incarnation, has three anchor tenants.

Launching SuperPier will be Andre Balazs Properties—the company behind the Standard Hotels and Spa, the Chateau Marmont, and other luxury hotels, restaurants, clubs and residences—will debut a new concept, the Riverfront Spa and Beach Club. Also taking space at the complex is Opening Ceremony, which will have amulti-level retail environment that includes "incuboxes," or repurposed shipping containers retrofitted and designed for concept shops; and Brooklyn Boulders, New York City's only fully dedicated bouldering facility, which will open its a second bouldering community at the site.

According to Crain's New York Business, the three companies will take, respectively, approximately 25,000 square feet of space, about 16,000 square feet and up to 80,000 square feet. In total, the 12 acre space—which will undergo an extensive renovation in an effort to lure cutting-edge brands and concept retailers—includes 270,000 square feet of leasable space.
