LAS VEGAS–The PENTA Building Group has completed its renovation of the former Las Vegas City Hall into the new Zappos headquarters in Downtown Las Vegas.

“This is a significant project for the revitalization of downtown Las Vegas. As a Las Vegas-based company with deep roots in this community, PENTA is thrilled to be a part of such an iconic project for the area,” said Bryan Richards, project manager for PENTA. “Zappos has been an engaged, hands-on partner since the beginning. It is rewarding to work alongside another company that is truly committed to providing a high-quality facility for both its employees and the community.”

Comprehensive internal and external renovations on the 41-year-old former city hall began in August 2012. A grand opening and ribbon cutting was scheduled for Sept. 9.

The facility is tailored to match the unique, open-minded culture of Zappos. Work spaces for employees at every level are out in the open, instead of inside individual offices. Workers will be free to move their desks anytime and anywhere they choose, as desks are not bolted down and electrical systems are accessible through the ceiling instead of the floor.

“PENTA and Zappos share many of the same core values, including a commitment to transparency and teamwork,” Richards said. “We are confident Zappos will have a positive impact on the downtown community.”
