WASHINGTON, DC-It's not quite a conga line but the last few days has seen a number of new commercial real estate executives in the DC area join new firms and take on new roles.

Washington Property Co. of Bethesda, MD has appointed Joshua Gurland vice president of Commercial Leasing and Business Development. Gurland brings 20 years of experience in all aspects of the commercial real estate industry to WPC. Before joining WPC, Gurland was a founding principal of Leland Group Commercial Real Estate in Winchester, VA, concentrating on commercial real estate in the Shenandoah Valley and I-81 corridor.

DTZ, in Washington, DC, has brought on board Timothy Jacobs and Edward Saa, formerly of Transwestern. Jacobs has joined DTZ as a SVP and Saa as VP. Jacobs and Saa will be leading DTZ's regional expansion through a new DTZ office that will be located in Tysons Corner, VA, and from where DTZ will serve its Northern Virginia clients.

In Rosslyn, VA, Mary-Claire Burick has been appointed executive director of the Rosslyn Business Improvement District. Burick previously headed the Arlington, VA-based management consulting firm MC Strategy LLC.
