ALLEN, TX-Watters Creek at Montgomery Farm, the popular 750,000-square-foot resort-style mixed-use destination in Allen, is receiving $2.5 million in upgrades. The effort involves a partnership led by Trademark Property Co., the Fort Worth-based retail and mixed-use development, investment and services firm, and Pacific Coast Capital Partners, Coventry Real Estate Advisors, and Southern Land Company.

The new amenities, along with the recent openings of home furnishing and accessories retailer Z Gallerie and fashion boutique with a mission Altar'd State, bolsters the status of Watters Creek as a premier shopping destination.

“We are excited about Watters Creek and how it has evolved into one of the most exciting and successful mixed-use developments in North Texas,” said Trademark CEO Terry Montesi. “We are investing further in its success through improvements such as a new children's play area, new LED signage, shade structures, a practice soccer field, and a new holiday light show. These new amenities, along with the addition of Z Gallerie and Altar'd State, will continue to strengthen the position of Watters Creek with consumers.”

Work has already started on many of the new projects including a 51-foot high Watters Creek LED sign, which will face U.S. 75, one of the busiest highways in the DFW Metroplex. A unique children's play area is also under construction, incorporating organic elements such as natural wood and stone, as well as a water feature, all integrated into the grove of trees located on The Green. In addition, a new soccer practice field operated by FC Premier Soccer was recently completed south of DSW.

Watters Creek will also launch a state-of-the-art interactive holiday light show this year. Located near the play area, “Celebration of Lights” will have a classic theme including a large sleigh with whimsical reindeer flying into the air and a 30-foot interactive tree.

The next phase of the development will include 120 units of new urban retail residential and a hotel, both scheduled for completion in late 2014-early 2015.
