CORAL GABLES, FL-Baptist Health South Florida has acquired an office building at 1500 San Remo Ave.
The health care organization acquired the 276,274-square-foot office building from Fund VII Atrium San Remo for $43.75 million, according to the South Florida Business Journal.
Baptist Health is a tenant in the circa 1984 office building that is located adjacent to its headquarters. Ralph Lawson, CFO and executive VP of the nonprofit health care concern, also says that the hotel Baptist Health recently acquired at 9100 North Kendall Drive for $30.4 million has been closed. Lawson said it's evaluating how to renovate or rebuild that property.
“The hotel is contiguous to our campus and it is prime real estate from our standpoint,” Lawson said. “We plan to construct a cancer institute on our campus and that will give us additional flexibility.” See story in the South Florida Business Journal.
