SAN FRANCISCO-The Mark Company, says Geoffrey Herrick has joined the firm as partner.
He was previously senior director, residential sales and marketing at Tishman Speyer Properties.
Herrick will be a member of the partnership team, along with founding partner and president Alan Mark and managing partner Krysen Heathwood. He is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Mark Company's project marketing and sales, including the firm's sales staff and project management team. He will also participate in advisory services for pre-development design, land acquisition and capital sourcing for developments.
“Geoffrey has a unique understanding of condominium projects and developer objectives including capital raising, design development, sales, marketing, asset management and risk management,” stated Mark. “He will be an essential figure in ensuring our firm continues to grow and work with new properties and development companies throughout the Western United States.”
At Tishman Speyer, Herrick was most recently responsible for underwriting, designing and managing residential projects in San Francisco including LUMINA, a 656-unit luxury condominium located at Main and Folsom Streets; and 1400 Mission, a 190-unit affordable condominium project at the corner of 10th and Mission streets. He also led sales and marketing at The Infinity, the fastest selling large-scale project in the United States in 2009.
Before that, he worked in Tishman Speyer's emerging markets group, underwriting and evaluating real estate development opportunities in Mainland China on behalf of the company's $1 billion China fund.
He earned a BA from Colby College and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
