CLEARWATER, FL-A private New Jersey-based investor has acquired the 93-room Comfort Inn and Suites here from Cleveland-based Kana Hotel Group LLC.
The deal was reported by Hunter Hotel Advisors of Atlanta, which represented the seller in the transaction. No terms of the deal for the four-story hotel were disclosed.
“Hunter attracted tremendous interest in this asset due to its earning potential and location in close proximity to the St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport,” states Steve Taylor, who brokered the transaction and serves as vice president of Hunter Hotel Advisors' Miami office. The hotel had recently converted to a Comfort Inn and Suites and had undergone more than $1 million in renovations, he adds.
Hunter's seven brokerage offices currently represent more than 100 hospitality assets nationally and closed on seven hotels in the month of September. Hunter's Capital Market group is anticipating closing on more than $150 million in debt and equity financing by the end of the year.
