TYSONS CORNER, VA-Event management software company Cvent is taking 130,000 square feet in Greensboro Station, an office building located on the Silver Line next to the Greensboro Metro Station. The company is leasing the space at 1710 Solutions Dr., which was once part of the SAIC headquarters and subsequently purchased by The Meridian Group earlier this year.

Cvent plans to invest $7 million to expand its headquarters. The Greensboro Metro Station and four other stops on the Silver Line are due to open in the first quarter of 2014. The Cvent move will happen later in the year.

Virginia competed against Maryland for this lease; Fairfax County secured a $1 million grant from the Governor's Opportunity Fund for the project.

Meridian Group's investment in the SAIC's landmark 18-acre corporate headquarters campus proceeding nicely. Prior to the Cvent lease, the latest development was the selection of H&R Retail to lease Solutions Plaza—part of the retail development portion of the project.
