ORLANDO-The Orlando City Council is set to meet on Monday to possibly approve the land sale that would clear the way for the Orlando Magic to build a new $100-million headquarters and entertainment complex here.

The plan calls for the council to ratify a deal to sell city-owned land, that includes the city's downtown police headquarters and a public parking garage across the street from the Amway Center to the NBA franchise for $12.7 million, according to the Orlando Business Journal.

SED Development LLCC, an affiliate of the Orlando Magic, would acquire the 7.8-acre property from the city, according to city documents. See story in the Orlando Business Journal.
