ASBURY PARK, NJ-The Asbury Park Press will move out of its headquarters at the Neptune Building here to smaller quarters at 3600 Route 66.
Thomas M. Donovan, publisher of the newspaper, said that the move would take place at the end of the first quarter or early second quarter of 2014. The Asbury Park Press is in the process of selling the 175,000-square-foot Neptune Building, which has been its home since the 1980s.
The newspaper will bring about 400 employees across the street to the 3600 Route 66 building where it will occupy approximately 60,000 square feet of space, according to the Asbury Park Press.
The space at its new offices will also include a design studio that will help produce the newspaper as well as 14 other newspapers that are owned by parent Gannett Co. Inc. See story in the Asbury Park Press.
