TEANECK, NJ-Cognizant Technology Solutions says its plan to move its U.S. headquarters to Texas will not bring changes for its global headquarters here.

The information technology company says it plans to add employees at both sites – and will add a total of 10,000 technology workers over the next three years.

On Monday, Cognizant's president, Gordon Coburn, had said during a visit to Texas A&M University that the company will move its operating headquarters to College Station because of the "business-friendly environment" in Texas as well as the university's talent pool.

In a subsequent statement, the company said there will be no job loss or transfers from Teaneck. The number of employees who will be hired in the future in New Jersey – where Cognizant now employs about 3,700 - was not specified.

Cognizant employs 166,000 worldwide.
