BETHESDA, MD-After acquiring a site in a recent off-market deal, a chief official with Washington, DC-based Douglas Development Corp. says the firm is now working on a plan for a mixed-use project there.

The firm recently acquired the project site at 8004-8006 Wisconsin Ave. and 8013 Woodmont Ave. in Bethesda and is reportedly considering building apartments above ground-floor retail as one of a number of development options it is currently studying.

The 15,500-square-foot site is now leased by Ranger Surplus, Bethesda Valet and KNL Beer & Wine. Douglas According to Douglas Development Principal Norman Jemal work on the project is not expected to begin until 2015. See story in the Washington Business Journal.
