NEW YORK CITY-CBRE has promoted Andrew Goldberg, a 23-year retail sector veteran, to vice chairman. He is the firm's first retail brokerage professional to achieve the company's highest producer ranking.

Goldberg is a two-time recipient of the Real Estate Board of New York's Retail Deal of the Year award, including the 2006 Most Creative Deal of the Year Award for his negotiation of Gucci Group's lease at Trump Tower in Manhattan on behalf of the Trump Organization. He has completed hundreds of transactions, worth over $4 billion, and is consistently among CBRE's top performers nationally.

In 2013, Goldberg has represented Valentino in its 20,000-square-foot lease for its flagship store at 693 Fifth Ave., as well as W&H Properties in its 60,000-square-foot lease to Urban Outfitters at 1333 Broadway.

Adding credence to the promotion is the long list of retailers with whom Goldberg has relationships. He serves as the exclusive national representative for Valentino, Tiffany & Co., Max Mara, Roberto Cavalli, Bulgari and Bally. Additionally, he has developed a reputation for assisting major specialty retailers with their real estate requirements, including Tourneau, Asprey, Bulgari, Vera Wang, Hickey Freeman, Thomas Pink, Godiva and Canturi.

He also has worked with a long list of Manhattan property owners, including Tishman Speyer, Empire State Realty Trust, W&H Properties, Trump, Credit Suisse and the Park Tower Group. In addition, he has represented some of New York's most iconic structures, including the Chrysler Building, Empire State Building, Trump Tower and 200 Park Ave.

“One of our company's most important and enduring attributes is our exceptional talent,” says Matthew Van Buren, New York tri-state region president. “Andrew's achievements are unprecedented and he richly deserves to join the ranks of vice chairmen at CBRE.”

“Andrew's historic achievement is a testament to the integrity and extraordinary market knowledge he provides to his prestigious global retail client occupiers and investors in New York, across the US and around the world,” adds Anthony Buono, executive managing director, CBRE Americas retail services.
