HIALEAH, FL-A medical office building adjacent to the Palmetto General Hospital here has been acquired by an affiliate of Tenet Healthcare Corp. for $48 million.

The Dallas-based healthcare services company acquired the 454,785-suare-foot building from Pal-Med Holdings of North Miami Beach. Tenet affiliate Lifemark Hospitals purchased the building at 7160 West 20th Ave., according to the South Florida Business Journal. Tenet prior to the sale held a ground lease on the property.

The building previously traded for $37 million in 2008.

Tenet Healthcare operates 77 hospitals, 177 outpatient centers and Confer Health Solutions, a business process solutions company that services 700 hospitals and other clients nationwide. See story in the South Florida Business Journal.
