MORENO VALLEY, CA-Deckers Outdoor Corporation has a signed a 10-year lease for an 800,000-square-foot distribution building currently under development here by SARES-REGIS Group.
The building, scheduled for completion next fall, is among three LEED-rated logistics facilities under way totaling 2.2 million square feet by SRG in Southern California's Inland Empire distribution corridor. Lease consideration totals $37 million. Deckers, founded in Goleta, CA, in 1973, reported $386.7 million in net third-quarter sales. The company has seven brands and employs 2,300 persons in nine countries.
“Deckers is one of Southern California's modern success stories, and we're proud to have a role in helping them meet their real estate and facility requirements. In addition to this lease, we sold them land and are managing construction of their new 192,000-square-foot headquarters in our Cabrillo Business Park in Goleta,” said Peter Rooney, president of SRG's commercial investment division.
The Deckers building is one of two facilities totaling 1.6 million square feet that SRG is building in Moreno Valley. SRG also is under way on a 579,708-square-foot building nearby in Perris. SRG was represented by Joe McKay and Mike Wolfe in Lee & Associates' Ontario, Calif., office. Deckers was represented by Carlo Brignardello of Cresa in Los Angeles.
