DORAL, FL-Codina Partners and Lennar Corp. are looking to jointly acquire the much sought after White Course property here.
The partners say they will look to submit a bid in the near future to acquire the property from a fund tied to the government of Singapore. The White Course property includes more than 100 acres of golf course, but is zoned for a large-scale mixed-use development, according to the South Florida Business Journal.
The site could host a project similar in scope to one the Codina-Lennar firms are completing in Downtown Doral. The firms are developing 2,840 residential units, 1 million square feet of office space and 200,000 square feet of retail space at the development there.
“We plan on being aggressive,” says Codina CEO Ana-Marie Codina Barlick. “We have a very large investment in Downtown Doral and we are very concerned with what gets built next door to our site… If we are successful, we're going to deliver a high-quality product consist with the standards of Downtown Doral.” See story in the South Florida Business Journal.
