MIAMI—Starwood is bringing its Aloft brand to Coral Gables as part of a mixed-use development. Set to open in January 2016, Aloft Coral Gables will be the eighth branded hotel in Florida.
Following the August 2013 opening of Aloft Miami-Brickell, Aloft Coral Gables is the second Aloft hotel project owned and managed by a joint venture between Sunview Companies and HES Group. It will offer 137 loft-like hotel rooms.
“We look forward to introducing Aloft to the Coral Gables community, where it will appeal to savvy, next gen travelers and area residents alike with its distinctive design, innovative music programs and active social scene,” says Brian McGuinness, senior vice president of Specialty Select Brands for Starwood. “Aloft continues its explosive growth, amid rising demand for the brand's innovation and style, in Florida and worldwide.”
Centrally located at 2524 LeJeune Road, Aloft Coral Gables will anchor a mixed-use occupancy development that will include retail shops and an upscale restaurant. Minutes from Miami International Airport, the hotel aims to capitalize on the neighboring offices of Fortune 500 businesses and is a short distance from major draws like the Port of Miami, Vizcaya, Coconut Grove, and sunny South Beach. Aloft Coral Gables will be just one block away from the historic Miracle Mile.
Hotel amenities will include a striking W XYZ bar featuring live acoustic music, an outdoor Splash pool, 24-hour RE:charge gym, and 600 square feet of flexible meeting space, ideal for both business meetings and social gatherings. The hotel will also feature Starwood's technology-driven keyless check-In.
