TYSONS, VA-Space has been historically tight for DC area universities and Georgetown University is addressing these constraints in a novel way: it has teamed up with Convene, a provider of conference centers, to expand its MBA Evening Program. It is a first for both organizations.

Convene's business conference centers provide meeting rooms, integrated audio-visual support, and in-house catering. The company currently operates four conference centers in New York City. Its local center will be based at 1800 Tysons Blvd., marking the start of a national push for the company.

Besides saving the university the cost of building or renovating new space, the partnership also allows it to reach more commuter students. "We selected Tysons for our MBA Evening Program expansion due to its proximity to the region's business community and numerous company headquarters," said Elaine Romanelli, senior associate dean for MBA programs, in a prepared statement.
