ATLANTA—Talonvest Capital, a boutique commercial and self-storage real estate advisor based in Irvine, CA, is opening an Atlanta office. The firm also hired Scott Sweeney, a commercial and self-storage real estate finance veteran.
“As existing clients' business activities grow and additional experienced real estate operators trust Talonvest with their financing needs, we'll continue adding talented professionals like Scott to our team,” says Tom Sherlock, principal of Talonvest. Sweeney is responsible for originating new commercial and self-storage financing opportunities for Talonvest as well as managing other client assignments for the firm.
“Client needs, combined with a desire to maintain a high service, boutique oriented business plan, are what drive Talonvest's strategic growth,” says Jim Davies and Eric Snyder, the other principals the firm. Establishing an east coast office was a logical expansion for Talonvest after structuring over $400 million of capital in the past two years for properties located in the eastern half of the country.
Sweeney has worked with Talonvest principals for many years at a predecessor firm where he gained self-storage industry experience. He previously served at Williams Capital, where he developed a broad knowledge of the commercial real estate sector. Sweeney graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and is a licensed Georgia real estate salesperson.
