HOUSTON—Construction is scheduled to begin soon on a 97.5 acre business park in Tomball, northwest of Houston. Weather delays have postponed the groundbreaking of the master-planned and deed restricted development.
The Tomball Business Park, located near South Highway 249, the Grand Parkway and FM 2920, will offer flexible lot sizes and competitive pricing combined, said Colliers in a statement. Construction of the Tomball Business Park is expected to take 15 - 18 months to complete.
Tomball Economic Development Corporation appointed Tom Condon with Colliers to market the property.
Condon anticipates demand in the Tomball area to increase due to low property taxes and a skilled labor force in the immediate vicinity.
“The Tomball area will continue to grow and we look forward to working with prospective users and the commercial brokerage and development community on new projects,” noted Condon. “The Tomball submarket is already developing the reputation as being business friendly. The recent expansion by Baker Hughes with its Western Hemisphere Education Center is an excellent example of the cooperative efforts utilized by Tomball to bring new jobs to the area.”
Baker Hughes expanded a training facility in Tomball in 2012, bringing an estimated estimate total economic impact at $8.4 million to the area over the next decade.
