WASHINGTON, DC-The House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee approved 17 resolutions advanced by the General Services Administration on Tuesday that could result in the relocation of a number of major federal agencies.
The resolutions approved unanimously by the House T&I Committee, involved a number of prospectuses submitted by the GSA, including six real estate leases in the D.C. area and several capital improvement projects, according to the Washington Business Journal.
Among the largest of the prospectuses is the authorization of the Department of Justice lease for up to 839,000 square feet in the District. The agency now leases space in several D.C. office buildings, including 600 E Street NW, 1425 New York Ave. NW, 601 D St. NW and 1331 Pennsylvania Ave. NW.
