FAIRFAX, VA-According to a regulatory filing earlier this month, the New York City-based American Realty Capital Hospitality Trust has entered into an agreement to acquire six hotel properties, most of which are based in the Mid-Atlantic and New England regions, in a $102 million deal. Locally-based Barcelo Crestline is the seller of the approximate 1,200-key portfolio.

A spokesman for American Realty Capital Hospital Trust tells GlobeSt.com that the REIT has acquired Crestline Hotels and Resorts, ARC Hospitality's property manager from Barcelo as well.

The deal calls for affiliates of ARC Hospitality Trust to acquire the fee simple interest in:

  • Marriott Courtyard Inner Harbor, located at 1000 Aliceanna St., in Baltimore, MD;
  • Marriott Courtyard, at 32 Exchange Terrace, in Providence, RI;
  • Homewood Suites by Hilton, at 6905 Main St., in Stratford, CT;
  • Georgia Tech Hotel & Conference Center, located at 800 Spring St., NW, in Atlanta, GA.

The non-traded REIT affiliates are also under contract to buy stakes in the following Crestline assets:

  • A 24% interest in Hilton Garden Inn Blacksburg, located at 900 Plantation Rd, in Blacksburg, VA;
  • A 30.5% stake in Westin Virginia Beach, located at 4535 Commerce St., in Virginia Beach, VA.
