NEW YORK CITY-The Carlton Group has appointed real estate finance veteran and former Kushner Properties President Kevin B. Swill as the company's first chief operating officer.
The appointment was announced by Carlton Group Chairman Howard L. Michaels. Swill's previous real estate and capital markets background includes being involved in the financing of acquisitions, recapitalization and disposition of more than 13,000 apartments while serving as president of Kushner Companies' subsidiary Westminster Capital. In addition, Swill managed a staff of senior property managers with responsibilities for more than 4 million square feet of commercial assets, including 666 Fifth Ave., as president of Kushner Properties. Prior to joining Carlton, Swill worked at Merrill Lynch, CIBC, Deutsche Banc, and Citicorp/Citibank.
Michaels notes of Swill's appointment as COO, "Kevin will be an integral member of all of Carlton's businesses given his deep experience and background real estate acumen."

He holds a series 7 & 63 license respectively and earned a bachelor's degree in finance and business administration from Muhlenberg College.
