PHILADELPHIA-The City Planning Commission voted unanimously on Tuesday to recommend for approval five key bills, including necessary zone changes, in connection with the new Comcast office tower development here.
The bills, which will be discussed at City Council committee hearings on Feb. 25, would allow the new tower to be built without any further Council approvals and would raise the maximum density bonuses Liberty Property Trust could claim in connection with the project, according to The Inquirer.
John Gattuso, senior vice president and regional director, urban & national development for Liberty Property Trust, says the $1.2-billion project, will begin construction this summer and be completed by the end of 2017. The development will include a 222-room Four Seasons hotel and two restaurants. See story in The Inquirer.
