IRVINE, CA-Auction.com is partnering with the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals to advance sustainable Hispanic homeownership. The partnership will help real estate professionals who serve Hispanic clients, as well as their clients, take advantage of opportunities to buy and sell through Auction.com.
NAHREP promotes Hispanic homeownership by educating and empowering the real estate professionals who serve Hispanic buyers and sellers. The partnership will support a large-scale education campaign that targets residential brokers and buyers. As part of its ongoing efforts to educate and counsel Hispanic buyers, NAHREP will also offer advice on accessing opportunities available through Auction.com. In addition, it will establish a referral service that connects buyers and their agents to specific assets available through Auction.com.
"As a national leader in the sale of homes in all stages of the foreclosure process, Auction.com has an extensive portfolio of properties that greatly expands buyers' purchasing power," says Jeff Frieden, CEO and co-founder of Auction.com. "We want agents and buyers in Hispanic communities to be aware of these opportunities and have a level of comfort with the auction process."
NAHREP's CEO Gary Acosta adds that access to affordable-housing stock is a primary barrier to Hispanic homeownership, and, as GlobeSt.com has previously reported, the presence of large institutional investors in key markets has made the issue more challenging. "As Auction.com continues to reinvent the way real estate is transacted, it's key that Hispanic agents and buyers understand the process and know how to participate. This partnership will help NAHREP support potential Hispanic homebuyers by educating them on the thousands of ownership opportunities exclusively available through Auction.com."
The partnership agreement also includes extensive joint marketing plans and participation at NAHREP's national convention on Oct. 12-14 in Los Angeles, and it makes Auction.com a Diamond Lever Partner with NAHREP.
Auction.com declined to comment on whether it is seeking similar partnerships with other organizations to better different minority groups.
