CHARLOTTE, NC-Ayrsley Development Corp. has begun construction on a $30-million Embassy Suites hotel at its Ayrsley mixed-use development in southwest Charlotte.

The 170-room hotel will be the third hotel in the development. Located on a 3.6-acre parcel at the intersection of Ayrsley Town Boulevard and Silver Crescent Drive, the hotel is scheduled to open in 2015. The property will also feature 12,000 square feet of meeting space and a new on-site Hilton restaurant concept called Brickstones Grill, according to the Charlotte Business Journal.

Ayrsley, a 185-acre mixed-use development, includes office and retail space, more than 1,000 homes and apartments and a 14-screen movie theater. The development also includes a Hilton Garden Inn and a Homewood Suites. See story in the Charlotte Business Journal.
