LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ—Colliers International reports it has arranged a long-term 42,000-square-foot extension with Acme Markets at the Lawrence Shopping Center here.

The renewal comes with a major capital improvement program planned for the 393,00-square-foot retail complex. Among the exterior renovations will include improvements to the shopping center's roof, parking lot, facade, and signage.

Tim Norris, a senior managing director at Colliers International, along with Executive Managing Director Richard J. Madison, represented the shopping center ownership in the transaction.

“Acme Markets has been a long-standing tenant at the shopping center since it opened in 1960 and this extension demonstrates their confidence in the continued transformation of the Lawrence Shopping Center as well as their commitment to the community," Norris says. "The repositioning of the asset will further complement the supermarket's standing as the go-to grocer of New Jersey.”

Other tenants at the retail complex include Staples, Burlington Coat Factory, Wells Fargo, and Radio Shack.
