TAMPA, FL—Commercial real estate firm Avison Young reports it is leading the planned renovations at the Westshore Center office building here.

Avison Young is spearheading the nearly $1-million renovations at the 216,410-square-foot office building at 1715 North Westshore Blvd. as the exclusive leasing agent and property management firm. The building is currently 84% occupied.

Among some of the planned renovations include: a fully renovated lobby, which includes replacement of existing flooring, lighting, ceiling elements, etc., a digital directory in the lobby, the incorporation of outdoor café seating with sails for shade, a new monument sign, a complete landscaping overhaul, updated elevator banks and lobbies on each floor and for the parking garage level, and new parking garage signage

Tampa-based architectural firm Ai Collaborative has been contracted to provide the architectural and interior design vision for the commercial property makeover. Trimar Construction is the contractor responsible for the renovations, Avison Young states.

“Westshore Center is undergoing a complete aesthetic overhaul to modernize the look and feel of the building,” says Clay Witherspoon, principal and managing director of Avison Young, Tampa operations “This, along with a newly renovated and operated café soon to be open in the building's first floor, will provide a 'new' building experience that will stand out to both new and existing tenants as a highly sought after location for businesses.” Witherspoon and Avison Young Vice President Lauren Coup are the exclusive leasing agents for the building.
